Surrey RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect alleged to have committed a sexual assault.
On Sept. 27, about 4:30 p.m., a male sexually and physically assaulted a woman in a wooded area near Fraser Highway and 140th Street.
The suspect was last seen leaving on foot.
The victim was treated for injuries at a local hospital.
Investigators have so far been unable to identify the suspect and have released surveillance images in an attempt to locate the man.
The suspect is described as a black male, over six feet tall, approximately 160 pounds, in his late 30s, with short black hair and no facial hair. He has a distinctive “wandering” or “lazy” right eye.
At the time of the offence, the suspect was wearing a dark blue sweater with thick black lettering, blue jeans and white runners. He was also seen carrying a brown paper bag.
