2 fires spark near Oliver

UPDATE: 7:30 p.m.

According to those in the area air crews can be seen targeting the fire with water about 7 p.m.

The Oliver Fire Department is on scene assisting Wildfire Management.

Castanet is receiving reports there are two fires burning near Oliver on a hillside west of the town.

A witness says one blaze is burning on the west hillside near road 14 and 15, while another fire can be seen also on the west hillside on the north side of town.

There appears to be homes close by, however no emergency alert has been issued as of yet.
