The snow is falling!

It looks like summer’s over, folks. At higher elevations, anyway.

After record-breaking temperatures a few days ago in Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon, there is now snow falling on the Okanagan Connector between Merritt and West Kelowna.

Reader photos sent in to Castanet today show fog-shrouded forests with a dusting of white along the highway's shoulder.

In Kelowna, temperatures have dropped significantly, and currently sit at 15 C.

While ski season may be a little way off yet, the weather remains highly unpredictable.

The forecast for the weekend calls for a return to sunny skies, with temperatures in the mid-20s.
