A semi truck fire closed the Coquihalla Highway overnight, south of Merritt.
Castanet readers report the westbound lanes were closed late Thursday, near Larson Hill, about 160 kilometres west of Kelowna.
DriveBC says the highway was closed at Exit 286, the Coldwater interchange and was reopened about 4:30 a.m.
Motorists heading to the Coast were diverted via Highway 8 to Spences Bridge, then onto Highway 1.
Large explosions were reported during the blaze.
