Members of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) have been called to a home in Surrey.
RCMP responded early Saturday morning to a report of a sudden death; that death has now been classified as suspicious.
The deceased is a 57-year-old man who was found by his roommates.
Police then arrested a man in connection with the death. He was interviewed and released without any charges, pending further investigation.
"It is our belief the victim and suspect knew each,” said Sgt. Stephanie Ashton with IHIT.
Anyone who heard an altercation in the 13800 block of Hansen Road in Surrey, between 1-4 a.m. on Friday, April 17 is asked to contact IHIT investigators.
