Body found in Richmond

Update – 12:30 p.m.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has identified the man found dead in Richmond earlier this week.

He was 20-year-old Alexander Renney of Surrey, who was last seen Sunday night.

Renney's body was found Monday morning at a business near 6 Road and River Road.

Sergeant Stephanie Ashton says, “investigators continue to narrow down the timeline of his last movements and who he was in contact with prior to his death.”

A body has been discovered in Richmond, and an investigation is underway.

Mounties say the body was found at about 6 a.m. Monday on the 14000 block of River Road.

Police say the death may be suspicious, and have called in the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

RCMP say it does not appear to be a random attack.
