Mall motorcycle escape

Surrey RCMP are on the lookout for a man who drove his motorcycle through a mall Friday afternoon to escape police.

According to Sgt. Charney with the Surrey RCMP, officers were trying to stop the man just before 2 p.m., when he took off on his motorcycle through Guilford Town Centre.

“He failed to stop for police officers and while attempting to evade officers he drove through the outskirts of the mall,” says Charney.

The man then took his motorcycle down the escalator before reportedly taking off through the WalMart and fleeing the scene on city streets.

Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.

Surrey RCMP are investigating the situation right now and looking at surveillance video to try and identify the suspect.
