Four men are in police custody after a Christmas night crime spree that started in Vancouver and ended in Burnaby, reports CTV Vancouver.
The arrests were made on Grandview Highway near Willingdon when a suspects vehicle was blocked between two police cruisers.
Two restaurants were robbed earlier in the evening. The Hot Delivery Restaurant on Cambie Street was hit at about 7:30 p.m. by armed men who ordered everyone to the floor.
They demanded everyone give up their valuables and then proceeded to ransack the restaurant. One customer was struck in the head while another woman suffered a cut to her hand, according to police.
The second incident happened half an hour later in East Vancouver at the Truong Thanh Vietnamese Restaurant on Kingsway Avenue. Again, two armed men brandished weapons and demanded valuables.
In both incidents, the suspects fled to a waiting getaway car that matched the description of the car police later stopped in Burnaby.
Police say the four men ranging in age from 17 to 34 were taken into custody and will face various robbery and weapons charges.
