Vancouver police responded to a report of shots fired in the west lane of Hornby Street at Helmcken, just before 5 p.m. Monday.
When police arrived, they found a mobility scooter with multiple bullet holes. According to Randy Fincham with the VPD the driver of the scooter, a 43-year-old Vancouver woman, ran to St. Paul's hospital where she was located by police and was uninjured.
The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. Fincham says, the suspect is known to the police and remains at large.
Investigators believe that there was an ongoing dispute between the man and woman and that she was the target of the shooting.
