North Vancouver RCMP are appealing to the public to help identify a male wanted for questioning after two poppy collection boxes were stolen from local businesses.
On November 4 at approximately 9 p.m. the suspect entered a drug store on Lonsdale Avenue allegedly stealing a poppy box off the counter. Approximately 20 minutes later the same individual entered a gas station several blocks away and, while paying for gas and goods with numerous coins, appeared to take poppy box from the counter.
If you can identify this male you are asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
"People give to the poppy fund out of respect and remembrance," said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP. "When someone steals a poppy box they are taking money from someone who has served our country."
