A Surrey high school was locked down briefly Thursday afternoon after a student was stabbed. (CTV Vancouver)
Surrey RCMP say the suspect involved in a stabbing incident at a secondary school yesterday was taken into custody.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., the 17-year-old suspect was arrested without incident at his residence and will be appearing in court later today. Charges of Assault causing bodily harm are being recommended. An 18-year-old victim is recovering in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Surrey RCMP's General Investigations Unit and Youth Section continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
