Teen found naked and shot

It was a bizarre incident in Pitt Meadows Wednesday night when Mounties found a teenager naked and shot.

According to CTV Vancouver, the 19-year-old man told police he had been abducted earlier in the evening.

“He actually went up to one of the local houses, he was trying to get away from a couple people,” Insp. Dan Splinter said.

Officers found the man on Sharpe Road around 9:30 p.m.

It appears the victim, who is known to police, escaped from a car that crashed into a nearby ditch.

But it is unknown who was driving, and no one else was located at the scene, despite a search using the RCMP Air One helicopter and a police dog team.

Police say there may have been two other vehicles involved in the bizarre series of events.

The investigation is in its early stages but the RCMP believes it’s dealing with a targeted incident. Mounties haven’t said where the young man was shot but described his injuries as non-life threatening.
