Lindsay Bell
Kelowna Councillor

I grew up in Burlington, Ontario and moved to the Okanagan in 2002. I’m a mother of two amazing boys aged 10 and 13, both are in French immersion and are avid hockey players. I can be found daily on a hiking trail or dog park with my beautiful Swiss Mountain dog.
I graduated McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. I created Peachland’s first youth club back in 2004.
We are only as strong as our weakest link. My goal is to lobby the provincial government to do more for the growing crisis in the down town core. I want to be a part of the solution and being elected on council will give me the influence I need to do something about it. I would first establish a committee to address mental illness and addiction. Safety and security of our citizens will take top priority.
Another driving force behind my decision to run for council is to create a bylaw to eliminate one use plastics in bars and restaurants. This has been achieved by other cities and I want it done here in Kelowna. I vow to keep Kelowna clean and safe.
