Amarjit Singh Lalli, born September 6th, 1968, moved to Kelowna, BC from India in 1975.

Though the first 4 years were quite difficult due to the amount of moving, he now is a successful entrepreneur, as well as is a highly respected individual in this community.

At age 13, Amarjit started working at Stewart Brother Nurseries during the summers. In June 1987, he graduated from Springvalley Secondary School. Life had juristically changed for Amarjit and his family as just a day after he graduated, his father had passed away due to a farming accident. After the shocking news, he became head of the house hold working multiple jobs trying to support himself and his family as he had a dream to further his studies. While supporting himself and his family, going to school, and working long hours, he had managed to graduate from Okanagan College with a diploma in Business Administration. Amarjit continued working multiple jobs for years on end. He worked for companies such as Canadian Tire, Western Star and Tolko Industries. In April of 1997, Amarjit married his beautiful wife Baljit, whom he has been with for 21 years. Being interested in farming, Amarjit and his wife bought a 20-acre apple orchard in 2003. The following year, they also purchased a Subway franchise in the Lakeland Plaza.

Having successfully operated the first franchise, in 2011, they opened their second Subway franchise located downtown Kelowna by the bus loop. To this day, they still proudly own and operate both stores.

Amarjit and Baljit have 2 children; their daughter Prabhleen, age 17 and son Balmehar, age 20. Amarjit has been an active member in this community for over 23 years. His commitment to the community is evident in his service on the following Boards: BC tree Fruits Cooperative (Vice President North Region), Growers Supply Co. Ltd, Summerland Varieties Corp, Okanagan Sterile Insect Release Program, Spiritual Care Advisory Committee for Kelowna General Hospital, The Okanagan Sikh Temple and Cultural Society (18 years) and Subway Franchise Advertising Fund (Interior Board) Amarjit is committed to "Building A Better Community Together."
