Police have few details regarding the discovery of a body, late Monday afternoon, on the Westside.

The body was discovered in a wooded area near  the McDougall Creek bed off Elk Road about 5 p.m.

RCMP Cst. Kris Clark says an autopsy is expected to be performed sometime later today (Tuesday).

Foul play is not suspected.

Clark says it has yet to be determined the sex or age of the deceased.

Those details will be revealed through the autopsy.

The body was discovered near where Andrew Lalonde went missing two months ago.

Lalonde, 30, was last seen the evening of January 17 by his sister Jessie.

He apparently left his home in the Pine Ridge Mobile Home Park sometime the next afternoon.

His door was unlocked while his wallet, cell phone and car remained behind.

An extensive search the days following Lalonde's disappearance turned up nothing.
