Happily vaccinated
Re. Peter Emery’s letter, Surprised by poll result (Castanet. Jan 12)
(The letter writer) is surprised by the poll result about getting the flu shot.
I would just like to state, for the record, in my household, three of us are under the age of 45 and we have all, as “young people,” received the flu shot and are more than happy to do so.
There is no “fear mongering” from COVID as the writer suggests. We’ve been getting the flu shot every year, long before COVID was on the scene.
Also, referring to the Cleveland Clinic for statistics does not really hold up very well. Maybe use a Canadian statistic next time if he wants readers to take him seriously.
