When did it become OK to just sweep a young life lost under the carpet?
Apparently, it's a thing police do, specifically with deaths of the homeless.
Recently, someone I've known for years passed away, a young man in his late 30s. He became homeless recently but was never a bad person. The most disturbing part of it all is also knowing the person who found him. It clearly was homicide but what everyone was told was the RCMP considered it an overdose.
He absolutely deserved better than that. Also, it means whoever (killed him) is still out there, free to do it again. That concerns me and should concern everyone.
I've heard some say the overdose crisis is basically a license to kill because the police just sweep (their deaths) under the carpet when they shouldn't.
The drug-using population have started to kill each, not just the homeless but anyone who does any kind if drug because they know they'll get away with it. That's sickening.
We used to fight with our fists, not give someone a bad hit and kill them.
What happened to society? When did this become right?
