Carney vs. Poilievre

Re.Gray takes shots at Carney (Castanet, Feb. 13)

(Liberal leadership candidate Mark) Carney has international investment experience from a U.S. point of view. He led the Banckof Canada through the 2008 recession, when the best (former Conservative prime minister Stephen) Harper could do was suggest it was "a good time to buy more stocks".

Carney led the Bank of England through the carnage of the Conservative (British government’s) Brexit debacle. He now works in international investment from a Canadian point of view.

(Current Conservative party of Canada Leader Pierre) Poilievre has no international experience, no investment experience, no job experience (outside of politics) actually, but will receive a very large government pension.

It's easy to see why (according to polls) Canadians now place a potential Carney-led Liberal party tied with the Conservative party, and why (Kelowna-Lake Country Conservative MP Tracy) Gray sees the need to attack him on ideological grounds.
