This winter has been kind to one of the most popular ski locations in the Kootenays, and there's still more winter to look forward to.

Rossland's Red Mountain Ski Resort reported that November was its 'snowiest' month in 19 years, leading to one of the earliest openings in the mountain's history.

The ski hill has received just over 12 ft of snow in two months and is on track for one of its most anticipated winter seasons yet.

In addition to the record snow fall, the resort is also marking key development milestones, including the grand opening of the Crescent Alpine Homes.
