The Oliver Fire Department stayed at the scene of a Vaseux Lake area structure fire throughout the night to ensure all hotspots were doused.
In a Friday morning update, the fire department said they were called to the Brauns Road and Highway 97 area just before 7 p.m. Thursday,
"Crews arrived to a fully involved structure and worked to contain the blaze with suppression efforts," reads the update posted to the fire department's social media account.
"Crews remained overnight to take care of any visible hot spots and smoke/steam will remain visible throughout the morning hours. Crews will be in and out of the area throughout the day."
Okanagan Falls crews assisted with a water tender and a crew from Willowbrook provided coverage for the Town of Oliver while crews were committed to this fire.
The nature of the structure, the cause of the fire and whether people were displaced for the fire was not made known.
"No further comment is available as to the cause until further investigation," fire officials said.

The Oliver Fire Department is currently fighting a structure fire near Vaseux Lake.
Castanet received reports of the fire around 8:15 p.m. Rob Graham with the fire department said crews have been on scene for 90 minutes and they are currently mopping up any remaining hot spots.
