As a long-time resident of Kelowna I am getting tired of developers “controlling” City Hall.
My major peeve is the (planned) UBC Okanagan tower. This fiasco has ruined enough lives. It was a disaster from the start. (The City of) Kelowna should have put a stop work order on it when surrounding buildings started to fall apart.
(The project) has destroyed the lives of 80 people, and everyone is blaming each other. So far, 14 different companies have been blamed.
They are still working on this insult to the (residents) of Kelowna.
The city should condemn the site, fill in the hole and move on.
In the meantime, it has another 40-storey building for approval beside this project .
When is enough enough?
