Climate action questions

It is interesting how the government is pushing really hard on EVs and heat pumps and not considering what the long-term ramifications are and how are they going to deal with the aftermath of recycling the batteries and other components.

How much more electrical generation will be needed and where we will get it from when we are seeing some hydro dams very low in water supply because of low rain periods and snow packs?

We need to look at things long-term, with solid answers, not just try to fix things without much thought.
