I believe Canada should have a universal basic inxome because we care about all Canadians, unlike the “right wing” USA.
We have a great social safety net, so we should extend it to the poorest who are deserving but not carte blanche though.
There should be qualifying standards set first and benchmarks like continuing education or community service for those who are able.
