Do these protesters even know what they are supporting?
The Palestinian government is Hamas, and it is a terrorist group that murdered Israeli concert goers on Oct 7 with no provocation, other than they were Jewish.
Hamas' goal is to eliminate the state of Israel, no matter how it does it. It is not interested in peace or tolerance, but annihilation of Jewish people.
Israel is not entirely innocent, as in its past it seized land in the area but that doesn't justify what Hamas did.
In my opinion, we don't need this kind of hatred by protesters in Canada. Our society is one that allows all people to live here in peace and we mostly get along. Canada has Jews, Arabs, Asians, Caucasians, Blacks, Latinos and Indigenous people and we all live peacefully together. There is no room for the mindless hate we see in other parts of the world. That's why people want to live here.
If anyone in Canada is not happy here, they are free to live somewhere else, like the Middle East, where I bet these protesters are not willing to go because it's dangerous there.
Israel will continue to defend itself as long as it keeps being attacked.
I wish the entire world would get along but some people seem to love hatred over peace and safety. They are their own worst enemy.
