Deal with climate change
Re: Poll: Does B.C. need to come up with new way to fight wildfires? (Castanet, May 14)
That is a very important question, but also short-sighted.
Yes, the province needs different approaches to fight wildfires but a long-term and proactive question to the wildfire dilemma is: Does B.C need to come up with a new way to fight climate change?
Wildfires will continue and get worse unless climate change is addressed.
We can’t be reactive, we have to be proactive.
