The fiasco with the UBC Okanagan downtown tower construction project could have been avoided.
Surely the City of Kelowna understands the water table issues associated with a mammoth multi-story underground parking garage. There is a reason one doesn’t exist.
Seeing renters evacuated, many of them disabled, from subsidized rental units is disgraceful.
Somebody has to be accountable for this incompetence, and that is management. In the private sector they would be fired.
