So now three buildings have been evacuated due to the construction of an enormous tower in downtown Kelowna (UBCO).
It sounds like the engineer did not do their due diligence regarding the ground they want to build on. Perhaps this project needs to be put on hold before more buildings are impacted or better yet, scrap the whole idea.
From what I understand, that part of Kelowna is basically silt. Discovery Bay (residential tower on Sunset Drive) was a perfect example of what could happen. The consequences could be catastrophic if they proceed.
Correct me if I am wrong and do explain why.
