Expect some delays as work begins Thursday at the road island on Silver Star Road.

The City of Vernon says crews will be working on the island between Star Road and Bates Road.

Work will be conducted Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The city says two way traffic will be maintained but “short duration stops can be expected.”
