Warriors score five unanswered goals in a 6-2 win in Langley

Warriors snap 2 game skid

Rylee Hlusiak had a career high four points, including his first BCHL hat trick Friday, leading the West Kelowna Warriors to a come-from-behind 6-2 win in Langley.

The Warriors trailed 1-0 after one and were behind 2-1 in the second when Hlusiak went to work.

The first-year Warrior got West Kelowna on the board with a shorthanded effort 67 seconds into the second to briefly tie the game at 1-1.

The Rivermen regained the one-goal lead minutes later but again it was Hlusiak to got the Warriors rolling.

He took a chip pass from Chris Duclair, charged into the Langley zone and wired a shot from the left circle to knot it at two five minutes into the second.

He completed the hat trick with what proved to be the game winner on the power play midway through the period.

Defenceman Zhenya Miles, who made his BCHL debut due to injuries on the blueline picked up an assist on the goal.

Ben MacDonald scored back-to-back power play goals 21 seconds apart in the third before Nic Porchetta closed out the scoring with the Warriors fourth power play goal of the evening.

The Warriors outshot Langley 39-26 on the evening.

West Kelowna plays the fourth of seven straight away from Royal LePage Place Saturday in Chilliwack.
