A man injured in a serious weapons assault Tuesday in Brocklehurst is expected to survive, police say.
Mounties were called to a home in the 2300-block of Bossert Avenue just after 11:30 a.m., where they found a man suffering serious injuries.
RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the man was taken to hospital by ambulance. She said he is expected to survive.
“A reduced police presence remains in the neighbourhood as part of the ongoing investigation,” she said.
“As people start to get home from work we ask that they please review their home security and dash cam footage to see if anything was captured that could be related to this incident.”
No arrests have so far been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are going door to door in Brocklehurst as Mounties investigate a serious weapons assault Tuesday.
“Whenever we have a major incident, especially this time of day right now, there are people around and people who may have seen something or heard something,” RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn told Castanet Kamloops.
“So members will be going door to door and asking people if they have any information that could assist with the investigation.”
Evelyn said there is no further information she could provide about the extent of the injuries.

Police are asking people to avoid a residential street in Brocklehurst while officers investigate an incident that landed an injured person in hospital.
According to Mounties, an injured person was found in the 2300-block of Bossert Avenue just after 11:30 a.m.
RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the injured person was assaulted with a weapon and taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
“The public is asked to please avoid the area while police are on scene conducting the investigation,” she said.
