Warrant issued for 'high risk' offender in Kelowna

High-risk offender sought

Kelowna RCMP are on the lookout for a 45-year-old man described as a "high risk" offender.

Harley David Gillies is wanted on an unendorsed warrant, meaning police would need to hold him for court upon arrest.

The warrant was issued following a domestic violence call in which Gillies is alleged to have assaulted a woman, threatened her with a knife and stole her cell phone.

Gillies is described as Caucasian, six-foot-six, 180 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He is considered a "high risk" offender.

The outstanding warrant includes several offences:

  • assault
  • assault with a weapon
  • uttering threats
  • breach of undertaking
  • theft under $5,000

RCMP ask if you know the whereabouts of Gillies, do not approach him. Instead, call the Kelowna RCMP detachment at 250-762-3300, or contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
