A popular Vernon watering hole is for sale.

Sir Winston's Pub has been listed for sale at what might be considered the bargain price of $99,000 – especially since the business just completed a $100,000 renovation.

The pub, located on Highway 97 between Polson Park and 28th Avenue, sits on the former site of Demetre's Restaurant.

The original building housed the Vernon Steam Laundry in the early 1900s. The current building was built in 1970 and renovated from the restaurant into the pub in the 1990s.

The basement still houses the original building's historic safe, according to the Sir Winston's website.

It does not include the Sir Winston's Liquor Store.
