A man with a gunshot wound to his foot was uncooperative with police after showing up at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Chris Terleski says shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, police were notified by medical staff that the man had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment.

"Investigators attended the hospital and spoke with the victim, who provided little information and was not cooperative with police," says Terleski.

The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries prior to being released from hospital.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
