Warren Miller's latest film Daymaker will get you pumped for skiing

Film will 'make your day'

A sure sign of ski season is the return of an adrenalin-packed Warren Miller ski movie.

The Vernon Ski Club will screen Miller's latest film, Daymaker, next week.

"We love kicking off the season with the tradition of hosting families at the Vernon Towne Cinema to watch an epic ski film," says club president Lauren Carr.

"Everyone is welcome, and it is a great event to get pumped up for another season at SilverStar."

The film will be shown Thursday; doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m.

Daymaker includes footage and stories from the nearby Monashee Mountains, showcases adaptive backcountry riding, and introduces the audience to grass skiing.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at Olympia Cycle & Ski (cash only).
