As a taxpayer in Kelowna, I am appalled that each of our current (city) councillors and the current mayor, Colin Basran, all want cars out of downtown and are encouraging more bike lanes.
Are you kidding me? None of them take transit and all have 24-hour, paid private parking at City Hall. None of them ride a bike downtown and certainly they never walk to council meetings.
It’s high time they start practicing what they are trying to ram down our throats and start leading by example. “Do as I say and not as I do” has never worked for me.
Get rid of their private and free parking and get them all bus passes. I’ll be looking for any or all of them next time I ride the bus.
But guess what? That will never happen. Practice what you preach councillors.
