BCCF says canvassers will be knocking on doors in Kamloops

BCCF door-knockers

Knock-knock. Who's there? The BC Cancer Foundation.

BCCF canvassers will be knocking on doors in the Tournament Capital.

According to the BC Cancer Foundation, door-to-door canvassers will be introducing locals to their monthly donor program.

“Monthly donations support life-saving cancer research and innovations to patient care taking place at BC Cancer, helping to change outcomes for people facing cancer across B.C.,” the foundation said in a statement.

For security and safety purposes, the BC Cancer Foundation said all canvassers will be wearing ID badges and teal BC Cancer Foundation vests. Canvassers will be wearing masks and are to maintain at least six feet of distance from the door, the foundation said.

The BC Cancer Foundation members will be asking for residents to commit to a monthly giving plan only and they will not accept cash at the door.

Residents who signup for the plan will receive a confirmation email immediately, the BC Cancer Foundation said.

More information about the door-to-door program can be found here or by calling 1-888-906-2873.
