Golf fans in the Okanagan will be able to watch some of the best up and coming professionals next month free of charge.
The PGA TOUR Canada announced this week adventure company CMH Heli-Skiing and Summer Adventures has stepped up to fan admissions for all four rounds of the GolfBC Championship Sept. 1 to 4 at Gallagher's Canyon.
That means admission to the tournament is free for fans.
“As the gateway to our lodges, and home to many of our staff and guides, we are delighted to provide access to all, to attend the GolfBC Championship in Kelowna,” said Rob Rohn, president of CMH Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures.
“In much the same way as people come to CMH’s destinations to escape the crowds, enjoy the fresh air and find their sense of adventure, this event brings people together to share their passions in the outdoors.”
CMH is the world's first, and largest heli-skiing and heli-accessed hiking operator, celebrating more than 55 years of heli-adventures.
They operate 12 destinations located in the Bugaboo, Purcell, Selkirk, Monashee and Cariboo ranges of B.C.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have CMH Heli-Skiing and Summer Adventures join us in presenting one of the top golf tournaments on the PGA TOUR Canada," said tournament director Hugh Vassos.
"To cover the cost of admission is a tremendous commitment to our event and to those who enjoy major outdoor sporting events in the Okanagan.”
