Soccer Quest U14 girls cap off impressive season with provincial championship

Kamloops girls win B.C. title

Soccer Quest’s U14 girls team made history over the Canada Day long weekend, becoming the first academy team win a provincial cup title.

The title caps off a successful year for the squad, its first in the TOYDA League.

The U14 girls from Soccer Quest won a league title and two showcase tournaments before earning gold at B.C. Soccer’s Youth Provincial B Cup with a 4-1 win in the championship game over Coastal FC.

Soccer Quest’s U16 girls, who also won their TOYDA League season, finished fourth in their division at provincials.

The academy’s U14 boys will be among dozens of teams on a quest for hardware this weekend on McArthur Island, where the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association will host the Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup championships. Action gets underway on Thursday and runs through Sunday.
