Localized flooding within the Township of Spallumcheen has prompted officials to activated the township's Emergency Operations Centre at Level 1.
The Township of Spallumcheen has activated its Emergency Operations Centre due to localized flooding happening in the area.
In a statement, the township said it was activating its EOC at Level 1 as of 5 p.m. Monday.
“Currently, the area of flooding is affecting Eagle Rock Road at the north end,” the statement said.
“A sandbagging station is currently set up at the Township Public Works shop, 1511 Eagle Rock Road. You will need to bring a shovel.”
The township said it will provide more updates as more information becomes available and as conditions warrant.
The township activated its EOC at Level 1 for about two weeks in June due to localized flooding on Stepney Road.
