Okanagan golf fans are now able to register to volunteer, or caddy for this year's GolfBC Championship

GolfBC tourney wants you

Volunteer opportunities have now opened up for this year's GolfBC Championship at Gallagher's Canyon Golf and Country Club.

The annual PGA Tour Canada stop takes place around the Labour Day long weekend, running from Aug. 29 through Sept. 4.

Both volunteers and caddies are needed for the event.

"We are looking for 300 volunteers to participate in this exciting event, which will also raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation," tournament organizers state.

"Volunteering is a fun way to give back to your community, make new friends and get 'inside the ropes,' with the up and coming starts of the PGA Tour."

Volunteers help create a unique experience for both players and fans alike while also leaving a lasting legacy within the community.

Experience is not necessary.

Caddies are also needed for some of the 156 pros who will tee it up at Gallagher's Canyon over the 72 hole event.

You'll have the rare opportunity to see the tournament up close and personal in a way few ever do.

It's a chance to walk alongside a PGA Tour Canada professional and make a memory that will last a lifetime.
