The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library is launching its summer reading club with challenges for all ages.
In a news release, the library said summer reading club programming will run from July 4 to Aug. 26.
“This year’s theme is ‘All Together Now,’ and offers a fun reading club option for all ages, from infants to adults,” the statement said.
According to the TNRL, children can register for the club by picking up a reading record from any library location, while teens and adults can download a bingo challenge card directly from the library website.
For each week a child reads during the summer, they earn a sticker. For kids who read each day, they are awarded a ribbon and a certificate, and are entered into a grand prize draw.
Teens and adults can download a bingo card or pick up a paper copy from any TNRL location. According to TNRL, those who complete all the summer reading club challenges on the card can return it to a local library branch to be entered to win the grand prize.
The TNRL said Kamloops-based childcare centres can also register to have a summer reading club program brought to them.
“In addition to at-home challenges, we are looking forward to welcoming our communities back into the library this summer for in-person programs,” the library statement said.
All age groups can start their challenges on July 4.
