Vernon's Historic O'Keefe Ranch celebrating an old fashioned Canada Day

Go back in time

Historic O’Keefe Ranch is inviting people to take a step back in time on Canada Day.

The ranch will be pulling out all of the stops July 1 with a celebration of historic proportions including live music, and entertainment featuring their popular Role-Play Actors.

To celebrate the birth of the nation, people can stroll the grounds with a parasol or enjoy some delicacies from local food trucks while listening to the North Okanagan Pipes and Drum Band in the rose garden.

There will be old-fashioned games and races including gunny sack and three-legged races, a tug of war and pin the tail on the donkey.

Visit with the friendly farm animals and take a photo with Winchester the Lamb before you peruse the offerings of the local artisans before taking a wagon ride to tour the historic buildings.

The Canada’s Day activities go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is by donation.
