Glenmore Road reopens after serious crash

Glenmore open after crash

UPDATE 6:45 p.m.

Motorists say Glenmore Road has now reopened to traffic at the crash scene.


UPDATE 1:40 P.M.

BC Emergency Medical Services says three paramedic ground crews responded to the accident scene this morning.

Three people were taken to hospital in non-critical condition.


UPDATE 1:20 p.m.

Glenmore Road is closed to local traffic only near Slater Road while police investigate this morning's crash.

An RCMP news release says a preliminary investigation determined a grey Nissan Versa was traveling southbound on Glenmore Road when it passed a water truck before losing control and crossing into the northbound lane colliding with a white Subaru Crosstrek.

The lone drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

The regional RCMP crash analysis unit is assisting Kelowna traffic officers with the investigation.

Police are asking all motorists to avoid the area of Glenmore while officers work.

If anyone was driving on Glenmore Road North and may have witnessed the grey Nissan Versa prior to the collision, or if anyone has dash-camera video, please call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.

Traffic on Glenmore Road is backing up due to a rollover crash.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash north of the Slater Road intersection.

The extent of any injuries is not known at this time.

Motorists should expect delays while travelling the area.
