The Penticton Vees are now just one win away from hoisting the 2022 Fred Page Cup, thanks to a 3-2 overtime win against the Nanaimo Clippers Tuesday night.
The Vees were on the road for the game, after two decisive victories at home in the final series of the BCHL Championships.
Scoring didn't start until the second period, when the Clippers took the lead on a power play goal. But the Vees quickly responded twice thanks to goals from Josh Nadeau and Frank Djurasevic, making it 2-1 heading into the final period.
The Clippers tied it up in the third period, forcing an overtime period. Just 2:55 into the extra time, Stefano Bottini secured the Vees' victory with a goal.
