The Southern Interior will be represented on Canada's Paralympic nordic ski team.

Wednesday, Canada unveiled the 12-person Para nordic team that will compete in the Beijing Paralympics beginning March 4.

The team includes 31-year-old Emily Young of Kelowna and and 21-year-old Natalie Wilkie from Salmon Arm.

Wilkie is competing in her second Paralympic games, after winning gold, silver and bronze medals in cross-country skiing at the 2018 games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

“I’m really excited to be heading to my second Paralympic Games and building on my success from PyeongChang,” said Wilkie.
