4 bodies with gunshot wounds found in Richmond, BC home

4 bodies found in home

UPDATE 11 a.m.

Four bodies have been found in a house in Richmond’s city centre area.

Homicide investigators say the four people inside the home are victims of a shooting, but are not thought to be connected to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.

Police say they were called to a home in the 4500-block of Garden City Road, Richmond on Tuesday evening.

Richmond RCMP arrived to find four dead inside the home. It is believed they were known to each other.

The Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service are still processing the scene and canvassing the area for witnesses and CCTV.

It is believed that the shooting occurred the day before, on January 24, 2022 around 7 p.m. Homicide investigators are seeking witnesses who were in the area of Garden City Road near Odlin and Leslie Road and saw or heard anything suspicious.

“It is a traumatic incident the community is waking up to,” said Sergeant David Lee of IHIT, “our investigators are scouring the area looking for information as this event unfolds. We hope to provide the community with answers soon.”
