Vernon’s newest restaurant is rising – at The Rise.

Work on a clubhouse and restaurant at the popular Vernon golf course has begun and, when complete, the eatery will show off the course's spectacular views above Okanagan Lake.

The multimillion-dollar project includes plans for a 30,000-square-foot, multi-amenity building that includes a restaurant and lounge, corporate event space, wedding venue, golf simulator lounge, and retail store.

Boasting state-of-the-art design and architecture, the top floor will have 30-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows to show off the 180-degree panoramic views, and a 120-seat casual dining area including a multi-level patio overlooking Okanagan Lake, the city and golf course.

Lower floor interior and exterior walls have been poured on the project, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

"Vernon is the right place, and now is the right time to elevate local experiences. We're breaking ground now and we're so excited to build this for the Vernon community and our visitors," general manager Ian Renton said on the golf course's website.
