Kelowna's Fairfield Animal Hospital says pets and their owners should expect longer than normal wait times due to staffing shortages caused by COVID-19.
The 24-hour emergency animal hospital shared a statement on Facebook.
"We want to forewarn our clients and other clinics that there may be longer wait times and reduced services at Fairfield Animal Hospital at this time. Due to increases in COVID-19 cases in Kelowna, we are experiencing staffing shortages with employees off due to testing, self-isolation, or being ill."
"We are doing all we can to remain open 24/7 for emergencies for pets and owners in the Okanagan. If you need services, please feel free to call ahead and inquire about possible wait times."
The statement was posted on Thursday, January 20th.
