UPDATE 7:42 p.m.

Power has now been completely restored after an earlier Friday evening.

UPDATE 5:58 p.m.

Much of a large power outage has now been restored by FortisBC.

The outage ranged from Pandosy Street past Gordon Drive but as of 5:56 p.m. Friday, 1929 of 2772 customers have had their power restored.

ORIGINAL 5:12 p.m.

FortisBC customers from Pandosy St. past Gordon Drive., south of Harvey Ave. are without power Friday evening.

FortisBC's outage map indicates almost 3,000 customers are in the dark.

Repair crews are working on the issue as of 5:10 p.m. there is no timeline to repair the outage and no cause has been given
