Penticton Hospital Auxiliary raises $100K for new Clinical Research Unit at local hospital

$100K for clinical research

The Penticton Hospital Auxiliary were thrilled to present a cheque for $100,000 to the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation this week.

The money, fundraised by the auxiliary team, will go towards a new Clinical Research Unit coming to the Penticton Regional Hospital.

It is hoped that the unit will help attract and retain medical talent, as well as opening the door for clinical trials to take place in Penticton.

Auxiliary members David Mansell, Heather Palberg, Rita Stoffer, Marion Price, June Revell-Quevillon and Elaine Gregor presented the cheque to SOS Medical Foundation CEO Sally Ginter and Clinical Research Unit members Jason Curran and Jennifer Menzies this week.
